It Looks Horrible
I reckon you could do a much better job Andre - I challenge you to do a mockup of what you'd like to see it as (Glass and all!!) and post it here :op

We're aware of the problems with the current UI of the Windows Fax and Scan application. We've been giving it a fresh paint job and a tuneup over the past few weeks and you can expect to see significant improvement in the Beta 2 release. If you have specific suggestions or concerns, we'd definitely be interested in hearing them, and we'd love to see anyone rising to Zack's challenge and providing a mockup of what they would like to see.

If we were to submit some ideas, would they go towards the final Windows Fax and Scan application UI? :o)

I have to say that that is an interesting direction. I assume the items along the toolbar row under the menu bar are essentially tabs that when clicked on would change what is displayed in the main window beneath? Is the bar to the right only for searching? Or would clicking on one of those glowing items also affect the view?
Thanks for doing this. It's great getting this kind of feedback, even if it's to tell us how horrible we are. :-) I'll be looking forward to your comments when you get the Beta 2 update. -- Paul Bartholomew Microsoft Digital Documents Team

Well it's open to suggestion really :o) It was just a rough idea - maybe they could be like in the old Microsoft Outlook... 97 I think, like those little square boxes you get? Well, something similar to that perhaps. Maybe a simple glow, who knows - it's totally up to you (of course!). It was just an idea, hope it helps things along :o)
